A FLAG IS DONATED TO THE ORIGINAL GROUP "KOVILJE"-VUKMANOVO

 In the framework of supporting the preservation of tradition and culture and promoting cultural and artistic creativity in Municipality of Palilula, president of the municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić donated the flag of the original group, the gift of Municipality of Palilula, to Dragisa Todorovic, president of KUD "Kovilje" Vukmanovo, as an expression of gratitude for the outstanding results and cooperation with the organization of the local government of the City of Nis. Cultural Artistic Society "Kovilje" had a remarkable performance in this year's program, "Palilula Night 2013", within commemoration of the 1700s. years of the Edict of Milan, and the Day of the City of Nis, and also the successful visit to Bulgaria in Bobov Dol, within the international culture cooperation project in the border region, of Serbia and Bulgaria, as a representative of the municipality of Palilula.

HUMANITARIAN AID PACKAGES FOR SOCIALY VULNERABLE RESIDENTS

 Municipality of Palilula-Nis in cooperation with the Red Cross and the City of Nis will organize distribution of humanitarian packages early in the next week (from 06th to 09th of November), to socially most vulnerable population in the rural area of the municipality of Palilula. Humanitarian package consists of basic foods with eight food items: flour, beans, rice, pasta, oil, canned vegetables, canned meat and dried vegetables (spices). According to Boban Džunić, President of the Municipality of Palilula, invite was sent to citizens from rural areas of the municipality, to report to the Council of the citizens in their neighborhood, as soon as possible (until Monday, 4th of November). "We would like to do this with maximum transparency of distribution of humanitarian aid to our citizens .

MRAMOR STREAM CANAL CLEANED

 Mramor stream, which has for years been making troubles for the residents of the inhabited places in the city municipality of Palilula, now has a new regulated trough. "I am satisfied because the villagers with their agreement contributed to this canal, with a length of about 150 meters upstream and downstream, for its cleaning of wastes and garbage to prevent any flooding," said the president of Palilula, Boban Džunić. He together with the head of the Municipal administration, Marija Brajdić, visited this location and with the contractors and locals talked about this investment.

GREATER SOLIDARITY AND UNDERSTANDING OF COMMUNITY

 The program of utility infrastructure in the rural areas of Municipality of Palilula is successfully being realized through 2013, thanks to the efforts of Municipality of Palilula and good cooperation with the Citizens Councils and local offices. In order to improve the quality of life of residents in the surrounding settlements, President of Municipality Boban Džunić initiated a meeting with the management of the "Naisus" Wateworks, regarding the resolution of claims from citizens of the village Gabrovac. The key topic of this conversation was the information from the delegation of the Council of Citizens from Gabrovac about the building activities of the local water supply and connection of the residents to the city's water supply.

OUR SUPPORT TO LITTLE PETRA

 At the fourth session of the Municipal Commission for approval of conditions in order to grant financial assistance to vulnerable families with seriously ill children in Municipality of Palilula, which was chaired by Dragan Terzic, it was decided that part of the available funds, that are raised in the campaign "Let's help our children" be awarded to the family of Darko Miljkovic. Parents stated in their request for help, that their daughter Petra Miljkovic, age 12, had a severe hip surgery. ow, the rehabilitation process takes place at Lukovska Banja, by the recomendation of medical doctors, and it is necessary to provide additional funding.

START OF A NEW WORK CYCLE

 Following a public procurement procedure, new work cycle of the refurbishment of village roads, in five villages of the City Municipality of Palilula, is expected to begin in early November. Thanks to the project of Municipality of Palilula, and support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the City of Nis, by the end of this year and early next year, 6.34 km of road will be done road in the Municipality of Palilula. According to Boban Džunić, President of Municipality of Palilula, the value of this investment will amount to 4.580 million.

CHILDREN WEEK - TOWARDS

 During the Children Week, which is marked in Serbia from 7th to 13th of October, the president of Municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić traditionally hosted a reception for a delegation of Students' Parliament and teachers from seven elementary schools, which operate in the municipality of Palilula. The program of activities celebrating Children's Week in the 2013th were carried out under the motto: Listen Mom and Dad, I want a sister or a brother! This year's Children's Week is giving special attention to the contribution to creating a positive climate for the birth, and to support the development of models of responsible parenthood, in accordance with relevant national and international documents and applicable regulations.

„Oh la’ la’ colle’ge“IN PUPPET THEATRE

 Students in the theater group of Primary School "Kralj Petar Prvi", at the initiative of Municipality of Palilula, with the assistance of Professor of French Aleksandra Arsic, and with the support of Sasa Miljkovic, Honorary Consul of France, played the play "Oh la 'la' colle'ge" to charity campaign contributions within the campaign of Municipality of Palilula "Let's help our children", on October 4th 2013th, in the hall of the Puppet Theatre in Nis. Theatre play '' Oh la la college'' is the story of school life, students, originated in the French-speaking part of the activities marking the Francophone Days in Nis during 2012, and the whole play is in French.

 An international exhibition of student works called "LIVING-GREEN RETURN TO NATURE’’ opened in Nis Cultural Center. The exhibition was opened by Boban Džunić, president of Municipalityof Palilula in Nis. He pointed out a high activity of the municipality in the area of environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, environmentally correct behavior, energy conservation and renewable energy, related to climate change. "With this project we want to raise awareness of citizens of Ihtiman and Palilula on issues of vital importance and capacity building for environmental protection, promotion of cooperation at the local level on key issues of common interest, in order to strengthen territorial cohesion, competitiveness and sustainability in the border region.
